Christmas

Well we started the week of Christmas festivites on Sunday with my family and on Tuesday we had the Walker Family Christmas party. At the Walker party we ate and played do you love your neighbor, they kids had some dog sled races, and we had a auction. For the auction everyone brought something either that they had that was in good shape or something new. Everyone had $1000 to spend and they went through and auctioned everything off. Brac knew exactly what he wanted! They kept auctioning off all these toys and I would ask him if he wanted to bid on them and he would say no, well finally this little grooming kit came up and he was ready! He ended up winning the acution and got it, well we opened it up and figured out why he wanted it soo bad! There was a little pocket knife in there that had a knife, file, little tweezers, and a toothpick. Needless to say when we got home Eric and Brac sat down and had a little talk about it and deciede it was probably best the Eric hold on to the knife until Brac is old enough to have a knife. By the way he found it today and was trying to do something and cut himself, maybe he learned a little lesson, maybe. :) It was nice to see all of Erics family that came we don't see some of them very often. On Christmas Eve we went over to my Moms for the day and got ready to go up to Cynthia's for the Wardell family Christmas Eve. We always eat dinner, visit and the kids act out the Nativity while we read the Christmas Story and Sing Christmas songs. Breanne was and angel and Brac was a shepard until it was time to start the play. We came home after that and went to bed. I forgot my good camera at Cynthia's house so we had to use the old one Christmas morning, I need to find the card reader so I can upload those pictures.. Anyway Brac woke up and we asked him if Santa came and he told us no. We asked him if there were any presents and he told us no again, I'm not sure he was quite awake. He didn't wake up until after 8 though so we can't complain about that! After we opened our presents here we went over to Eric's parents and opened some presents with them, had breakfast around noon and just hung out for a while. After resting for awhile we started on dinner. We had turkey, mashed potatoes, and some other veggies and stuff. I made another Danish dessert (there was a little left that Careen made) but we never got that far. Some of us played a game and then we came home and went to bed. It was a nice relaxing Christmas and we enjoyed ourselves!
